I apologize for the extended hiatus. When I got my nursing job last year, it was horrible. So stressful and overwhelming. It was all I do just to function, so the blog took hit.
But I am back and better than ever.
I got a new job in April working in the Emergency Department and I am so much happier. It's great to have a good boss and TEAMWORK. I will be updating more in the near future, but I just wanted to give y'all a shout!
Two weeks ago, I started a new job as a RN Supervisor at the State Veteran's Home in Huntsville. It wasn't the job I had planned for me, but it's the job that God must of had planned for me because 90 applications and 9 interviews later, it was the one that made me an offer. I'm adjusting to the environment, finding peace in the situation. It's not the hands on nursing that my heart desires, but hopefully, it's the nursing experience that the hospitals seem to think a new grad is lacking. Craig graduated from Athens State on May 4th with his Bachelor's and I couldn't be more proud of him for finishing his degree when the road seemed long and endless.
I'll leave those who have hubby's that smoke with a link to gurkha cigars.
Why is it, that still years after Blu-Ray came to life, that the best movie ever is still not available????
I think I would be just over the moon if they would release "Major Payne" on Blu-Ray. I absolutely love, love, LOVE that movie. I think it's one of our absolute favorites. As a matter of fact, it's on right now.
If you ever want to try some good recipes, my go to sites are The Pioneer Woman and Southern Plate. They always have good stuff and so far, everything I have made from either site has been added to the dinner rotation. I promise that neither site will let you down and I love the fact that they have pictures as you cook so you know what your dish is supposed to look like while its "in process."
