Ten on Tuesday

Let's see if I can pull out ten...

1) I'm disappointed that we didn't get any snow yesterday. But truth be told, I would have probably slept through it seeing as how I was in the bed with a migraine.

2) I am almost officially in the 2 week countdown for my 30th b-day with no big plans. My birthday is also pay-day and if I want to get my check, I need to have it placed in my hands. That's the downside to a small business, no direct deposit :( But I get a birthday bonus so that makes it nice too!

3) Our taxes our finished and we are awaiting our refund. We're on the ball with financial aid at our respective schools, too!

4) I need to mail in my Calhoun nursing application...

5) I don't know what I want to do with my vacation time for this year. I've become such a penny-pincher that I don't feel like spending money on a vacation. Geez, what has happened to me.

6) On the topic of penny-pinching, we've downsized our DirecTV package *gasp* Hush, Our money is better off in our savings account that being wasted on excessive channels. It's amazing what we all can do away with when we really want to.

7) The Nissan is getting some love tomorrow including a transmission flush and new belts. Yay!! Hopefully, it will be appreciative of the love I am giving and provide me with another 100,000 miles. You have to give love to get love, right??

8) I've got the Fit Active that is calling my name....I suppose I'm going to have to get over my fear of fitness equipment if I want to loose weight. We were looking at some pictures today at work and I heard, Wow, you were so skinny....." Geez, stab me in the eye with a hot poker why don't ya??!!?

I don't think I'm going to make it...that's all for now!!

You really need one of these

About a month ago, I finally got one of those tempur-pedic pillows to sleep on. It's an off-brand that I found for only $15.00. Definitely much cheaper than the $100 pillow that the sales lady tried to sell me when we purchased our new mattress. It's absolutely heavenly. We had to turn around and get Craig one too! If you don't have one, I have to tell ya, when you go to flip over at night, by the time you've rolled over, the pillow has fluffed back out! No more pillow fluffing. If it is time for a new pillow, this one comes Monica & Craig recommended.

**We ended up buying ours as a weekly special at Aldi, but I've seen tons of off-brand pillows on the market right now**

Technology plays a huge role in our every day lives and most of us can't live without it. Some days, I feel like I need project management software to keep up with everything. Work would go a lot smoother for me if we ever make the transition to electronic medical records, but that is still a ways off for our office. Oh, one day I'll have everything flowing smoothly. Same stuff, different day here. I got out of work early on Friday which was a much appreciated surprise. Ryan turns 12 on Tuesday and I get my taxes done on Friday. That's the highlights of next week for me.

Right now, I am relaxing in the bed, catching up on my blogging, and watching Momma Mia. Even if you aren't a huge fan of musicals, I highly recommend it. I *love* it.

We've been thinking about switching my computer from Vista to Windows 7, but first we have some backing up to do. I'm bad about backing up any photos on a regular basis. I keep losing my flash drive and I know it's around here somewhere!
